DuckDuckGo blocks Microsoft tracking scripts on sites

DuckDuckGo has stopped third-party websites from loading Microsoft tracking scripts.

This comes after users complained about Microsoft tracking their IP addresses.

Google Analytics is the most used script used by websites to track users.

Google can use this information to profile users and track IP addresses and device names, says DuckDuckGo.

DuckDuckGo's third-party Tracker Loading Protection stops most trackers from loading, giving better security.

Third-party Tracker banned Facebook, Google, and other scripts.

Microsoft, on the other hand, was excluded from this protection.

Zach Edwards found the exclusion while examining the browser's privacy claims.
